Who are we?

SOUTHERN AFRICA EMBRACE FOUNDATION is a Canadian Registered International Charitable organization founded in the year of 2010 in Toronto, Canada.  The organization holds the United Nations ECOSOC – Special Consultative Status Accreditation.  SAE Foundation is committed to advocating, supporting and promoting the wellbeing of marginalized children, youth and women in the countries of Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Republic of South Africa and Zimbabwe. In 2021, the organization envisaged to expand its work to West Africa (Ghana and Nigeria). 

We work in collaboration with health centers, schools, grassroots communities, rural communities, orphanages, International CSOs, NGO’s and private entities. SAE Foundation believes in equality for all regardless of sex, religion, ethnicity, status, age and educational background. Our organization is founded and stands firm on the principles of equality for all, compassion, love, dignity, care and respect for each life/person.

We envision a strong alliance of African women, children and youth who live in sustainable communities, are self-reliant, empowered, prosperous and confident individuals with open access to life potential opportunities.

The organization is committed to advocating, supporting, and promoting education, socio-economic empowerment of women and ending gender-based violence
Our Global Team

SAE Foundation work is carried out by a global team that includes student and professional staff spread across Canada, Europe and Southern Africa. These are the people that keep our organization running and without them it will be impossible to achieve our goals. Their dedication to the mission and vision of SAE Foundation is the founding basis of our work and commitment. The Board of Directors compromises of both youth and seasoned professionals with backgrounds in private, public and Intergovernmental sectors in Canada and beyond. The organization believes in the value of on ground human resources and to help provide economic security, all the seven field advisors are based in the countries where our work is done. The team in Canada is responsible for all the administrative duties including governance, program management, fundraising and marketing.
